the name - the ethos

Named after the Bluestack Mountains in County Donegal, Ireland, our journal honours a landscape where craft and land have been woven together for centuries. The home of Donegal Tweed and the famous McNutt woolen mills, skilled weavers have worked traditional looms in the county for generations, Carrying the colours of the mountains, bogs, and wild Atlantic coast in every thread.
